Jeffery Sun joined Alphemy in September 2025 as Head of Research at Alphemy Capital. Previously, he spent eight years at OPTrust, a $20 billion Canadian pension fund, where he led technology investing. During his tenure, Jeffery launched one of the earliest institutional allocation programs to digital assets, spanning both venture and liquid strategies.

Over his career, Jeffery has traded systematic and macro strategies and managed assets exceeding $2 billion. Prior to OPTrust, he held roles in Capital Markets at the Bank of Montreal.

Jeffery holds a Master of Computer Science from Georgia Tech, a Master of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor in Economics in University of International Economics and Business in Beijing. He is also a CFA charterholder.
